Château Saint Roux

If you’re keen to get off the beaten track and away from the traditional hotel scene, Château Saint-Roux promises an exciting new concept and change of scenery.

Château Saint-Roux is located in a Natura 2000 protected area in the Var, deep in the heart of Provence. Dating back to the 15th century this historic farm is now an astonishing organic vineyard offering a host of activities for all the family. Whether you’re travelling with family, friends, colleagues or your partner, take a rain check from routine and daily stress and delve into a delicious new lifestyle. You can even head out to meet the endangered Hermann Tortoise.

Our wines are created using natural, local yeasts to procure intense aromas, a rich character and distinctive signature, in line with our commitment to expressing the terroir as faithfully as possible. Unique among Côtes de Provence AOP wines, this approach allows us to produce genuinely original wines.

The vineyard co-manages an experimental plot with the Var Chamber of Agriculture, used to analyse the behaviour of various grapes with the aim of adapting to global warming. The plot is planted with drought-resistant and typical southern varietals: Mourvèdre Gris, Mourvèdre Blanc, Touriga Nacional, Calabrese and Mavrud.
